The project is coordinated by the Comics Department of the University of Valencia, in the person of Professor Alvaro Pons. The Chair of Comic Studies of the SM Foundation and the Universitat de València was created with the aim of developing knowledge of comics from the academic field, through the implementation of dissemination, information and research activities. The Chair is created with the support of the SM Foundation, which aims to build and develop educational projects, research, training of educators and intervention in vulnerable social contexts, with criteria of equity and quality, with priority interest in carrying out actions and implementation of projects aimed at the development of educational methodologies.
